Getting comfortable dribbling with both feet is a crucial step in any soccer player's development. This Isport lessons video demonstrates a one foot dribbling drill that will help you learn to do just that, dribble comfortably with both feet. To start set up two cones of markers about 15 feet apart. Start at one cone and dribble to the other using only the outside of one foot the entire time. When you reach the other cone turnaround and return to the starting cone, this time dribble the ball using only the outside of your other foot. When you reach the starting cone again turnaround and do the same thing with the inside of both feet. At the end of one repetition you should have gone down and back twice and used both the inside and outside of your feet to dribble the ball. As a progressive stuff add the third cone between the first two, when you reach that cone perform a stepover and switch feet. A stepover is a misdirection maneuver that allows you to quickly change direction while dribbling, you swing one leg completely over the top of the ball then immediately start dribbling with the other foot in a different direction. The key with this drill is learning to make controlled touches with the inside and outside of both your feet. So let's go over all what we covered. Start with two cones, dribble down and back with the outside of both feet, then down and back with the inside of both feet. Include a third cone between the first two and perform a stepover at this cone. The goal of this drill is to learn to be comfortable dribbling with both foot.
